Positive Promises of God
If there is one bit of advice I could give someone who is going through a trial, it’s to surround yourself with positivity. I had NO IDEA when I started this journey how many amazing positive promises there are in the Bible. I was raised in church, and did manage to memorize some Bible verses along the way, but seriously had no clue how powerful and positive God’s Word could be in my hour of need.
Once I realized my source of hope was in God’s Word, I couldn’t wait to get up every morning and look for new encouraging things to think about. I started writing God’s positive promises on little pieces of paper, gathering them in my journal, and also started noticing them in sermons and books and articles. God’s Word is so powerful and once He makes a promise, He keeps it. End of story. So when you read, “I am the God that healeth thee!” you can trust that He will do it.
Surrounding yourself with these kinds of positive promises from God’s Word can make a huge difference in how you take on the rough days. Be prepared for lots of little miracles along the way, cause the showers of blessings are just waiting to pour over a child of God who chooses to live by faith and reject the negative thoughts of the enemy!
